Adria E. Navarro, PhD, LCSW is educated as a gerontologist and social worker. Her position as Assistant Professor of Clinical Family Medicine includes clinical care for older adults and their families, as well as administrative and research-related activities. For more than 25 years Navarro has worked in health care with a focus on serving vulnerable older adults, especially striving to provide person-centered care with those experiencing and adapting to diminished functional capacity. Her aims include educating the next generation of health care professionals, while challenging elder mistreatment through prevention, protection and prosecution.
