Annie Nguyen, PhD, MPH, Assistant Professor of Family Medicine at the Keck School of Medicine of USC, presented her research findings on the Causes and Consequences of Perceived Financial Exploitation in Older Adults, at the annual American Public Health Association (APHA) Conference in Philadelphia. The qualitative study investigated 15 participants’ self-reported experiences with financial exploitation and their respective perceptions of the contributory factors and resulting impact.
Dr. Nguyen is currently the Chair-elect of the Aging and Public Health Section of APHA.
